What makes Scott Silverman an expert on the opioid crisis?
As he mentioned during a recent interview with WKBT, a news station in Wisconsin, Scott Silverman is nearing four decades of sobriety. His vice was just about everything you could think of. He did drugs and drank heavily and was even an “unlicensed pharmacist” (as he calls it) at one time.
Now, he’s working hard to redeem himself. Even today, he fights to stay sober, attending four meetings each week, not only to ensure he stays on the straight and narrow but also to help others seek help.
Once he overcame his addiction, Scott wanted to ensure others found the road to recovery. He founded Second Chance and serves as CEO of Confidential Recovery in San Diego. Scott also works independently as a crisis coach and family navigator.
